History

A will of steel – and not least a strongly rooted know-how – is the incentive behind ARMINOX®. Constant product development combined with the sense of strong cooperation means that today ARMINOX® is among the absolutely leading within its field on the world market

The company was founded in 1950 by factory owner, Villy Laursen in a small house in Viborg, a Jutlandic town. Villy Laursen started a small production of potato baskets and wall ties, and in 1957 the company moved to new premises for the first time.

To keep pace with the steadily growing company, and the production, now primarily being wall ties, Midtjydsk Murbinderfabrik was established in 1961, and in 1971 Midtjydsk Murbinderfabrik A/S was founded. In 1984 the company moved to the present premises in Mønsted – in the middle of Jutland.
In 1991 the production of stainless steel reinforcement began, and this product development gave impetus to further growth. Today the company has more than 15,000 m2 of factory- and office facilities at its disposal.

In 2006, as a result of the increasing internationalization, the company name was changed to ARMINOX®.

In 2018 ARMINOX® was acquired by PE firm Erhvervsinvest. Erhvervsinvest is Danish owned private equity firm that invests in well established Danish owned companies.

Regarding products today ARMINOX® focus on stainless and acid proof steel. In particular as reinforcement, such as wall ties, tile ties, stirrups, rebars, stainless steel wire mesh, as well as various products made to order, and a number of products for the building industry.

In addition to the head quarter in Mønsted, ARMINOX® has sales office as well as production in United Arab Emirates and Canada.

Today the products are sold through agents, dealers and own sales companies to more than 30 countries worldwide.
